Interesting find: Sevilla 111 Gigapixels

December 20, 2010 in Interesting Find

I don’t exactly know which technology was used to create this, but here is a 111 gigapixel zoomable image of the town of Sevilla in Spain.

It really is remarkable and as it stands this image holds the world record for the highest resolution picture ever created.

They have an interesting writeup of the making of the photograph, which you can check out. It is in Italian, but I used Google Translate (built into chrome) to read it.
